This limited edition print is over-painted with metallic gold to highlight the rhythm of movement across the image (this is not the 24 karat real gold leaf version of the original but the glint and glow is still beautiful and it has a better price point). Into the Vortex was my selfish-pleasure made with a vortex in mind with rounding, curving lines, cocoon-like to signify a soft space of warmth and comfort. That's how I felt in painting the original on lightly-textured hand-made paper. It's how I hope you can sense it too as a personal happy space, a place of gentleness and peace in your home. Note that my limited Edition work ships free to you.

The original has 24-karat gold in these same places. (A standard art print is the same image but without the enhancements of over-painting and gilding.)

Artist Sunday was my selfish pleasure--I made art-- and now I can share it with you! The word vortex was on my mind, with these rounding, curving lines seeming cocoon-like, a soft space of warmth and comfort! That's how I felt in painting the original onto lightly textured paper. It's how I hope you can sense it too as a personal happy-space, a place of gentleness and peace in your home. The original was embellished with real gold leaf. There is a limited edition version with the gold leaf of the original replaced with metallic gold, for the same look of the original at lower cost.
