Western Wyoming is beautiful, one of my favorite places in North America. Flying out of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, in late July I saw the braided Snake River sparkling in the sunshine. Below I knew were fishermen in waders playing hide and seek with cutthroat trout. Twisted and braided channels ran between terraces, intricate and sensual blues and greens, layer upon layer hiding in the vast canvas of western Wyoming. Here's is how I remembered and painted the scene.
