This limited edition print is enhanced with 24 gold leaf to highlight the rhythm of lines from the bottom of the image then rising to the top. Limited edition prints are also numbered, named, signed and dated by me, just as in the original. Hot Topic started in a vigorous discussion about the meaning of art, its relative value to different people, and the line that separates real from surreal, photographic reality from abstraction. Within an hour of that conversation I was drawn to create, to make a better argument for my point than words. And Hot Topic flowed from mind to hand and onto lightly-textured hand-made paper. The conclusion in Hot Topic is that art is a high value, more so to some people than others, that art is its own language to be parsed with a visual grammar, and that art can reach places words may not. Note that my limited Edition work ships free to you.

The original is now in a gallery in Los Angeles with 24-karat gold in these same places. (Some collectors choose a standard art print at lower cost and which allows you to select the size and framing you prefer; it’s the same beautiful image without the gilding.)
