Twenty years ago the core of my business was painting portraits of furry family members, not just the expected dogs and cats but horses, alpacas, birds, wolves, frogs, turtles and more. Soon the humans who loved and cared for them asked to be included. I've recreated peoples’ fondest memories as well as scenes that existed only in someone's imagination, painted airplanes in the air, important celebrations, homes and scenery. Each portrait has a story behind it as told with a brush (or sometimes with a lens). Some of these images happened just as you see it, some reflect unfulfilled wishes, others are a reunion of those who never actually occupied the same space or time. It's the story behind each portrait that makes it special. Each subject has allowed me to share their story with you. Without that permission their secrets are forever safe with me!
